Ty is a lifelong resident of Montgomery and graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor’s and MBA degree. He has been married to his wife Michelle for 32 years and they have two daughters – Mary Morgan and Anna. They are members of First Baptist Church. On weekends you will find his family on Lake Martin or at the tennis or pickleball courts.
After playing college tennis, Ty started his career in banking, working his way up the corporate ladder. For the first eight years he worked as a credit analyst, branch manager, and commercial lender. He was then recruited and worked in the investment business for seven years. Ty worked as a financial consultant and as an investment banker specializing in providing tax free bonds to agri-business related companies. He then returned to banking as a senior lender for eight years with market leadership included. The last eight years Ty worked in multifamily properties raising equity and handling special projects.
Ty has been actively involved with the community over the years. Currently, he is on the board for the Gift of Life and serves on the finance committee. Other boards that Ty has served on in the past include American Cancer Society – Central AL, 100X Development, YMCA Boys Work Committee, Britton YMCA, Jimmy Hitchcock Memorial Award and the River Region United Way.
